The summer kitchen's rooms were opened for guests in August 1998.. |
The summer kitchen with its walk-in fireplace was used
as a wash house, sewing room and for storage. Later, during the 1940's and 50's, daughters of the Patterson family (the 2nd owners) lived here when they began housekeeping. The summer kitchen's two guest rooms were finally opened in August 1998. Downstairs is Sariah's Kitchen and upstairs, Mother's Sewing Room. Both rooms have separate exterior entrances. Work on the summer kitchen was "temporarily" halted as we worked on dismantling the Livery Stable. |
