"Farm living doesn't necessarily mean roughing it at Weatherbury. There are five different rooms or suites on the farm, all comfortably appointed with antique furnishings and claw-foot tubs, as well as modern conveniences such as refrigerators and air conditioning."
Pittsburgh Magazine, August 2006

"Weatherbury Farm ...combines bed and breakfast accommodation with life on a working farm and the chance to get your kids actively involved." Frommers.com, March 18, 2008

Located in the Livery, the Stables (which the downstairs of this suite was in a former life) has navy walls with white trim in the living room. The 2 inch thick oak planks, joists and beams are original. A full sleeper sofa provides additional sleeping accommodations.

The navy walls rise up the stairs to a pineapple stenciled chair rail. Upstairs the cathedral ceiling soars 18 feet. The upstairs floor is the original yellow pine flooring from the hayloft. The bedroom opens onto a deck over-looking the pasture. A twin and queen pineapple poster bed provide sleeping accommodations with gingham bed linens and traditional quilts.

The suite features traditional decor throughout and sleeps 5.

Bathroom (also on the 2nd floor) has an old fashioned clawfoot tub (dated 1912) with a shower and pull-chain toilet.

Sleeps 4. (3 adults max)
Upstairs in bedroom: 1 queen bed, 1 twin bed
Downstairs in living room: 1 full sleeper sofa

The Stables has individually controlled air conditioning with ceiling fans. Heating is provided by the gas burning fireplace downstairs; there is also an upstairs wall heating unit. There is a small refrigerator in the living room for guests' use.

We are farming twice as much acreage as we did several years ago -- however, we still want folks to have the opportunity to experience life on the farm. We've made a few changes to our farm stay format for 2016, including B&B farm stays with light chores and group stay opportunities.

In 2016, Weatherbury Farm will offer three types of farm stay opportunities on select Friday and Saturday nights in June, July & August:

1. B&B Farm Stay with continental breakfast. Light morning chores** will be offered on Saturday and/or Sunday morning. Enjoy life on the farm and/or explore the countryside.   ** Subject to farmers' schedule

2. Farm Stay Experience with a hearty farm fresh breakfast followed each day by in-depth morning chores. Weatherbury's educational farm experience stay is appropriate for adults and children (usually 8 & older) who want to learn more about farming and agriculture. The emphasis will be on the organic and sustainable production methods used at Weatherbury Farm.

3. Group farm stays -- rent all three suites for a family & friends get-together. Continental breakfast. Light morning chores** will be offered on one or both mornings. Enjoy life on the farm and/or explore the countryside.
Dates other than those listed on the calendar are available. Please inquire.
** Subject to farmers' schedule

Farm stay visitors are invited to participate in our Weatherbury Farm Kids Program.

At this time, we do not accept credit cards. Reservation deposit and final payment are by cash or check.
