The Summer Kitchen is being restored into a single cottage style accommodation. The upstairs will be a bedroom and ensuite bath. Downstairs there will be a living/dining room with a small kitchen.

Prior to the restoration, the lower level of the Summer Kitchen was known as Sariah's Kitchen (named for Sariah Murdock -- who we assume used the kitchen as there wasn't a kitchen in the farmhouse when she lived here. -- Actually we love her name!)

The beaded board paneling and walk-in fireplace (used in the 1800's for cooking is non-working @ this time) are original to the room and will be maintained during the current restoration.
