"Simplify .... You'll learn how to live with less on Weatherbury Farm, where visitors spend their days helping Farmer Dale (his actual name) feed sheep and goats and collect eggs for breakfast."
Everyday with Rachel Ray Magazine, December/January 2008

"...a destination where families can spend a week or a weekend experiencing hands-on farm life."
Pennsylvania Magazine, March/April 1999

"The notion that living on a farm could be a vacation is not new, but it's a concept whose time has arrived. Have children ever been less aware of rural life? "
The Baltimore Sun
, May 19, 2002

It's the 21st century -- and Grandma no longer lives on the family farm. We invite you to stay with us at our family's working farm and make some down-on-the-farm memories. Escape to the tranquility of our meadows, gardens, cows and sheep. Weatherbury Farm is a quiet place, removed from the cares of the world (but just 45 minutes southwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) -- the unique farm stay you have always hoped to find.

Weatherbury Farm offers farm vacations to educate "city slickers" about farming and agriculture. Weatherbury Farm is a great vacation for the whole family -- be sure to check out our Weatherbury Farm Kids Program!

Weatherbury Farm offers overnight experiences where families can learn about farming and life on the farm. On Saturdays and Sundays after breakfast, guests are invited to help Farmer Dale with chores.  After chores families can enjoy life on the farm.  Many families have fun watching (from a distance, of course) Farmer Dale & Farmer Nigel at work in the fields. Or sometimes (more often than we like), they may be working on keeping our farm equipment in good running order.  Some families like to get their hands dirty and help Marcy weed the garden! Some families  choose to also visit nearby attractions during their stay. Most families, however, enjoy the opportunity to kick back and relax on the farm and enjoy life in the slow lane.

Not only does Weatherbury Farm offer the opportunity to learn about life on the farm, it is a great home base for exploring Pittsburgh, southwestern Pennsylvania,  the northern panhandle of West Virginia and eastern Ohio. Families will especially enjoy the farm's 100 acres, swimming pool (on a summer's day) and kids corner after a day of visiting sites.

To find out what's new on the farm, visit our farm stay update page.

Staffed by our family of three, Weatherbury Farm  is a working grass-fed beef and sheep farm and not a Disneyworld environment (with a staff of thousands). Certified organic grains (soft & hard wheat, oats, spelt, open-pollinated corn, emmer and einkorn) are also grown on the farm.  If you are looking for a farm experience on a real working farm, please consider a stay at  Weatherbury Farm.

Explore our web site and discover the joys that await you at Weatherbury Farm.

In 2013, Weatherbury Farm will be offering 2 day and 4 day farm stay opportunities, with check in on Friday afternoon.  The two day farm stay will be our "traditional farm stay" with a full farm breakfast and chores on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The four day stay will offer an additional two day stay (Sunday & Monday nights) with a continental breakfast on Monday and Tuesday, no chores but plenty of time to enjoy the ambience of the farm and see area attractions.

Reservations deposit and final payment will be by cash or check.  We do not accept credit cards.

After you have visited us in cyberspace and checked our availability on-line, please call us at (724) 587-3763 to reserve your own escape to tranquility. We look forward to your visit!

Dale, Marcy & Nigel Tudor
