| Scottish Highland Cattle
are among the most picturesque and beautiful-looking of all cattle breeds. The Highlands
are distinguished by their unique shaggy coats of waved hair and striking set of elegant
horns. Highlanders are known for their gentle dispositions. Records of Scottish Highland Cattle go back as far as the twelfth century! And there's archaeological evidence of them from the sixth century. Highlands are the oldest known breed of cattle. They were first imported into the U.S. in the late 1800s. The Weatherbury Farm herd was acquired in August 1993. |
